The previous Pink Ribbon club leaders, Maire Stierer and Raina Coleman, left a memorable impact on the Bryn Mawr students. They encouraged active participation in order to support the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Gabby Sitko and I plan to continue leading Bryn Mawr with an overall goal of raising awareness and making a difference within the larger community. The Pink Ribbon club meets every Friday and discusses information surrounding Breast Cancer to provide Bryn Mawr youth with knowledge regarding gynecology appointments, proper breast exams, and techniques to spread awareness. Additionally, the Race for the Cure is quickly approaching. The race is a stunning collection of empowering women and men who gather to support each other and the future of Breast Cancer research. The Pink Ribbon club will continue to host fundraisers throughout the school year. Our Pura Vida bracelet fundraiser was successful and the bracelets will be delivered to the students shortly. Gabby and I have momentous plans for the future of the Pink Ribbon club and hope to continue gaining support!
