Hi! My name is Hannah Mohler and I am CSL’s Representative of the Month! CSL has a bold voice in the Bryn Mawr community and representing the organization during my junior year has been a privilege. I have participated in small community service activities throughout middle school, but my largest commitment has been to the MD SPCA or Maryland Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. I have always fostered a strong love for animals, especially dogs, so I love donating my time regularly to the foundation. I was also a Counselor in Training last summer, where I spent three weeks attempting to put a smile on the camper’s faces.
Integrating community service into my high school experience has made me very happy. Community service affects the servers and those being served. Giving back to the community is an amazing responsibility. It’s meant to cultivate a sense a selflessness and to educate those who don’t understand the value of helping others. Community service benefits individuals and the community as a whole. My experiences in CSL have been exhilarating, fulfilling, and have hopefully influenced others.
